National Departures

CHECK IN

  • Arrive at the airport two (2) hours before the departure of your flight.

  • Show your boarding pass or booking confirmation to enter the airport (access through gates 6,7 and 9).

  • Access to the airport is only for passengers. Check baggage restrictions with your airline. 

  • Completing web check-in before your arrival at the airport will save you time when checking in.

  • The maximum weight allowed for checked baggage must be verified with each airline. Excess baggage will be charged according to each airline’s policies.

  • You must not transport the following items in your carry-on bag as they will be thrown out at the security checkpoint and will not be returned:

    • - Sharp objects. 

    • - Tools. 

    • - Firearms or imitation firearms. 

    • - Any item considered dangerous during a flight according to the norms stipulated by Peru’s Civil Aeronautical Authority.

TUUA CARD CHECKPOINT

  • Enter one (1) hour before your scheduled flight departure. 

  • Security control is located in the second level. Show your identification document (ID) and boarding pass to enter. 

  • Access to this area is for passengers only. Check carry-on luggage restrictions.

  • “This checkpoint will verify that the airport tax is included in the ticket.” If your boarding pass is rejected, you must go back to your airline’s check-in counter to emit a new boarding pass. 

  • If you need assistance, ask airport customer service staff located in the area. 

MPORTANT: Due to operational reasons, access to national gates may be restricted between 21:00 hours until 01:30 hours approximately. 

  • If you decide to go back outside to the public areas after passing through this checkpoint, you must pay the US$12.13 airport tax (TUUA) again in order to re-enter, unless your exit is for one of the reasons

SECURITY CHECKPOINT

  • All passengers will be checked. If you are pregnant or have a pacemaker, please let the security staff know. 

  • All forbidden items will be thrown out and will not be returned. 

  • For the security check, passengers must remove belts, jackets, coins, wallets, and other items and leave them in a tray to be inspected by the X-ray machine alongside their carry-on luggage. 

  • If the security staff find any forbidden items, they will be thrown out and will not be returned under any circumstances. 

  • Before the security checkpoint, passengers’ legal status will be verified by the police for requisition.

  • Cultural property. Checks for copies and souvenirs. Specialized staff from the National Cultural Institute (INC for its acronym in Spanish) oversee expediting the corresponding certificates for copies of cultural Peruvian pieces. 

  • This document will be used to authenticate the copies in other airports. If the pieces are verified as being authentic and to have been irregularly obtained, they will be seized. More information can be found at the link:  

BOARDING

  • Check the time you must be at your boarding gate. 

  • Use the information screens throughout the airport to check your gate and flight status. 

  • Listen for announcements as your gate might be changed.
